Radisson Blu Hotel, Yerevan

I absolutely didn't enjoy staying there for a week. Not a 5 star hotel, barely a 3. 1st and the most important, it is ridiculously loud music from the restaurant on the top floor. You will hear it even from the first floor. It's 23 local time now, I'm on the first floor and it's unbearable. By 23.20 it becomes silent, to be fair. 2nd, rooms are old. Doors aren't closing properly, showers are leaking, furniture needs maintenance and sometimes walls are dirty. I had luck living in 3 rooms throughout a week stay, so I suppose my experience can be extrapolated. 3rd, air conditioning is not working. Only as a fan. 4th, breakfast is ok, but not a claimed 5 star level. Same food every day, no rotation, coffee is no good. Also food heaters' lids are not fixing at the top position, so digging out food is tricky. On the plus side I must mention the hotel staff is nice and willing to help. Not much they can do with fundamental issues above. Honestly, maybe it's just me used to something else in Europe. But if you have an expectation to receive the same Radisson experience you had before, you will be disappointed to extreme levels.

Depending on how much you pay for, could be decent or horrible First impressions: Rooms are bright but the choice of white lights is baffling. This is not a factory or hospital and shouldn't feature cold, white lights at all. Easiest mistake to fix Quick check of the room and we found red (possibly blood) stains on the sheets and a piece of sticky, dried fruit (?) below the sliding bathroom doors. Absolutely disgusting There are no controls on the ac/heater unit, it's either on or off and it gets really hot if you keep it on. You can open the windows but will be met by loud, thumping music from a restaurant somewhere until late at night Showers are leaky and there's mould on all corners of the stall. Bathroom doors has white stains and the walls are dirty Asked for extra towels and the receptionist seems pleasant enough. Was delivered towels minutes later by a staff holding them in one hand and picking up a call on her phone on the other. Made no eye contact and I had to wave to get her attention to pass her tips If you can get past these shortcomings then it should be fine. But I'd recommend someplace else.

The biggest mistake was to book this hotel for several days at once. Loud music from the restaurant-nightclub on the 7th floor every day. Every day party… And there is no information about this club (named Bamboo) on the official site of the hotel. It is impossible to rest or work in the hotel. The staff just shrug. There is no service in the lobby bar, they bring the menu and no longer return to accept the order. I waited twice without success for the service for half an hour, after which I left. The spa above the pool has broken light bulbs that are constantly flickering. Spa towels look like hundred year old rags. Breakfast has stale food. Everything is expensive and people pay for a 5 star hotel. But in fact, this is one big shame. This hotel ruins the reputation of the entire radisson hotel group. The most terrible experience ever.
